Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the RealMeteo Android application ("the app"), published by RDC Apps, based in Romania. By installing or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please uninstall the app.

1. The Service

RealMeteo displays weather forecasts, hourly and multi-day outlooks, sunrise and sunset times, moon phases, home-screen widgets and optional weather notifications.

Weather data is supplied by Open-Meteo. City names are resolved using your device's built-in geocoder and, when that is unavailable, the BigDataCloud reverse-geocoding API. We do not generate forecasts ourselves.

The app requires an internet connection to fetch fresh data. Previously downloaded forecasts remain visible offline, but they will be out of date.

2. Accuracy and Safety

Weather forecasts are inherently uncertain. They are statistical predictions produced by numerical models, and they are frequently wrong, particularly beyond a few days.

The app is provided for general informational purposes only. We make no warranty that forecasts will be accurate, complete or timely, and we accept no liability for decisions made on the basis of the information shown.

3. Purchases and Subscriptions

The core app is free. The following optional purchases are available, processed by Google Play and recorded by RevenueCat:

Prices are shown inside the app in your local currency, as supplied by Google Play at the moment you view them. They may differ between countries and may change over time. Any price change to an existing subscription is communicated by Google Play in advance and requires your consent before it takes effect.

Automatic renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled. Google Play charges the payment method on your Google account.

Cancelling. You can cancel at any time in the Google Play app under Payments and subscriptions, or at play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions. Cancellation stops future renewals; you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for.

Advertising

RealMeteo is free and funded by advertising served through Google AdMob. You will see a banner at the bottom of the screen, native ads within the content, and occasional full-screen ads when moving between screens.

We do not control which specific adverts are served. Google selects them. If you see an advert that is offensive or misleading, report it through the information icon on the ad itself, and write to us so we can escalate it.

4. Free Trial

The Premium subscription may be offered with a free trial period. Where a trial is available, the app states its exact length before you subscribe, and Google Play confirms it again in the purchase dialog.

Eligibility is determined by Google Play, not by us, and is tied to your Google account. In general each account may use the trial for a given subscription only once. Reinstalling the app, clearing its data, or creating a new profile on the device does not restore eligibility.

If you are not eligible, the app says so and the subscription begins — and is charged — immediately.

If you do not cancel before the trial ends, the subscription converts automatically to a paid subscription at the price shown. To avoid being charged, cancel in Google Play before the final day of the trial. You keep trial access until the day it would have expired.

5. Refunds

All payments are handled by Google Play, so refunds are governed by Google Play's refund policy and must be requested through Google, not through us.

Google generally allows a self-service refund within 48 hours of purchase. Beyond that window you can still submit a request, which Google reviews at its discretion.

If you are a consumer in the European Union, you have a statutory right of withdrawal of 14 days for digital content. By starting to use a purchased feature immediately you may be asked to waive that right, as permitted under EU law. Nothing in these Terms limits any consumer right you hold that cannot be waived by contract.

We are happy to help you with a refund request — write to [email protected] — but the final decision rests with Google.

6. Restoring Purchases

Your purchases are linked to your Google account. After reinstalling the app or switching to a new device, the app attempts to recover them automatically on first launch.

If a purchase does not reappear, use Restore purchases on the subscription screen. Make sure you are signed in with the same Google account that made the original purchase — a purchase made on one account cannot be transferred to another.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• reverse-engineer, decompile or modify the app, except where such a restriction is prohibited by applicable law;
• circumvent or attempt to circumvent the purchase and entitlement checks;
• use any means to block, interfere with, or spoof advertising served by Google AdMob;
• redistribute, resell or sublicense the app or any paid feature;
• use automated means to extract weather data through the app, which would breach the terms of the upstream data providers;
• use the app in any way that breaks the law in your jurisdiction.

8. Intellectual Property

The app, its source code, design, icons and name remain the property of RDC Apps. These Terms grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app on devices you own or control.

Weather data belongs to its respective providers and is used under their licence terms. Open-Meteo data is provided under CC BY 4.0.

9. Privacy

How we handle your data is described in full in our Privacy Policy. It forms part of these Terms.

In short: we do not collect analytics or usage data ourselves. The app uses Google AdMob for advertising, and Google Play Billing and RevenueCat for purchases. All other data stays on your device.

10. Disclaimer and Liability

The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every device.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our total liability arising out of or relating to the app is limited to the amount you actually paid for it in the twelve months preceding the claim.

11. Termination

You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it. Uninstalling does not cancel an active subscription — you must cancel that separately in Google Play.

We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these Terms, in particular by circumventing purchase verification or interfering with advertising. Where a breach is capable of being remedied, we will contact you first where it is reasonable to do so.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time, for example when a new feature or purchase option is added. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.

Material changes affecting your rights will be announced in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use the app after that point means you accept the revised Terms.

7 September 2026 — Re-introduced Google AdMob advertising. Added a dedicated Advertising section. Updated Section 3 to clarify that only Supporter tiers remove ads and that Premium tiers do not. Added ad-blocking to the Acceptable Use section. Updated Sections 9 and 11 accordingly.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Romania and, where applicable, by European Union consumer law.

If you are a consumer resident in the EU, you retain the protection of the mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence, and you may bring proceedings in your local courts. The European Commission also provides an online dispute resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in force.
